Wishes 2024

Mistletoe has long been associated with Christmas traditions, modern science, and now our new exhibition, ‘Poisons. Nature’s superpowers’. It has remained a symbol of love and harmony over the centuries. A kiss under the mistletoe brings good luck, and hanging it over the door supposedly protects the house.

While mistletoe is poisonous to humans and other mammals, scientists have been able to determine some medical values in its toxins. Research shows that these substances could help treat cancer, hypertension and diabetes while also boosting immunity. The potential value of different toxic plants and animals is shown in our latest exhibition.

Merry Christmas! We hope to see you in the new year.
