We can't wait to meet you again at Copernicus. Tickets are now available! You can book visits to the Exhibitions for dates starting from November 15. Tickets for the November Evening for Adults will also be available soon, and starting from November 15, you can book group sessions for schools in our new Laboratories.
We invite you: bilety.kopernik.org.pl
Our building has stood in Warsaw’s Powiśle district for nearly 14 years. A lot has changed since 2010. The youngest children, who were the first to play at the “Buzzz!” exhibition, are already high school students. The first RoboThespian, the miracle of modern robotics greeting our guests, became a nice, elderly man and gave way to modern humanoids. Now, we are getting ready for yet another change. Our air conditioning and ventilation systems are no longer efficient, which can be a nuisance (especially in the summer!). We want everyone to be able to visit Copernicus comfortably, so we have to renovate our centre! Therefore, the whole CSC will be closed in September and October, while the Planetarium and some of the attractions at the Exhibitions – already in August.
Due to renovation works, the following will be closed:
- Laboratories — from August 1, 2024;
- Planetarium, “Look: there’s the Earth” exhibition, Robotic Theatre — from August 19, 2024;
- the whole Exhibitions space — from September 2, 2024.
Our family of robots (AMECA, SPOT, Copernicus, Babyclon) will be available to the public throughout the summer holidays — until 31 August.
In August, the ”Buzzz!” exhibition will instead be available on a limited basis due to renovations in adjacent spaces.
PLEASE NOTE: Renovation dates are subject to change and will be updated here continuously.
Remaining attractions
Renovation doesn’t mean that we all have holidays and go on vacation. We need experiments like air, so we’re moving some attractions to the building next door. The Copernican Revolution Lab will host EduFactory workshops for organised groups and classes you might know from the Thinkatorium or Laboratories. We also invite you to visit the rooftop garden, which will remain open.
Our explainers, equipped with accessories for quick experiences and shows, will appear on the streets of Warsaw. If you spot them, come and say “Hi!”. And experiment with them because they will surely miss interacting with visitors.
We will be back with lots of new things!
After the renovation, Copernicus will not only have more fresh air. We will open a new temporary exhibition on poisons, featuring some venomous animals. Our laboratories and the classes conducted in them will change. The Planetarium will be equipped with new projectors.
The renovation works at the Exhibitions are scheduled to be completed by early November at the earliest. So don’t wait that long—visit us during the holidays! Find out what attractions we have prepared for you for the summer.
