In 2024, on the first Tuesday of every month, between 1 and 6 PM there will be "Quiet hours" at the Copernicus.

During this time, we turn off noisy exhibits, harsh light emitting devices and strobe lights, and we present a quieter show in the High Voltage Theatre.

"Quite hours" in 2024:

  • January 2
  • February 6
  • March 5
  • April 2
  • May 7
  • June 4
  • July 2
  • August 6
  • September 3
  • October 1
  • November 5
  • December 3

It is estimated that currently, one in a hundred children is born with autism spectrum disorders. These people receive all kinds of stimuli differently, so often even staying in a loud place for several minutes makes them tired and irritable. That is why we’ve decided to join the “Quiet Hours” campaign so that people with autism and sensory hypersensitivity can visit the Copernicus Science Centre without unnecessary stress, anxiety or judgemental glances. During quiet hours, we turn off loud exhibits and the High Voltage Theatre. Devices emitting very bright and stroboscopic light are separated from others and marked. At the priority ticket office number 5, you can buy a ticket without queueing.

We are a partner of the “Quiet Hours” campaign run by the Jim Foundation.
